Fly Drive to The Far North via Tromsø & Bødø or Alta

A serious fly-drive destination to the finest sea fishing imaginable. Fantastic fishing from March into early October, with stunning scenery to match the awesome fishing on offer. We offer flights with SAS from the UK to Tromso, Bodo and Alta, and it's usually a 1 to 3 hour transfer to your sea fishing resort.

All venues offer the finest fishing with good standards of accommodation. Most are self catering cottages with good boats and fish cleaning facilities. Some venues are isolated, others have a pub and shops close by. A number of venues provide hotel and restaurant facilities. Some centres will provide transfers, others require car hire. Fishing tackle can be hired locally in selected resorts.

All properties offer self-use boats with maps and echo sounders, some with GPS. Skippered fishing can be arranged locally or in advance for groups of four plus at selected centres.

Expect plenty of cod in the teens and twenties. Thirty pounders are caught by most anglers in a week and forty/fifty pounders are there for the taking. There are excellent halibut, wolf fish, flatties and some of the biggest coalfish around; clients have landed giant coalies to 42 pounds -tremendous sport.

With stunning scenery and sheltered fjords, this region is great for the serious and family angler, individuals and groups. If you are travelling alone, you can reduce the cost by joining one of our group holidays.

Bill Chisholm had never caught a cod over 5 pounds before his trip in July 2005. His biggest cod is now a 44 pounder! An angler who had never fished before landed a 35 pound cod and an 6 pound haddock, plus loads more fish. On their first trip to Norway four anglers from Bristol landed cod to 55 pounds!

Mel Russ, editor of Sea Angler magazine had a personal best cod of 37 pounds. Need we say more? There is nowhere on earth that comes close.
