Equally stunning scenery and accessible by flights from the UK to Trondheim or the cheaper sail-drive option via Bergen or Kristiansand. The sail-drive option will mean a drive of 4 to 12 hours depending on your selected port/destination. Ideal for a leisurely tour by stopping off en-route for a night. This is a beautiful and safe country to explore.
Choose from small individual cottage locations to larger developments of cottage resorts with more facilities. All offer good boats with echo sounders and some include GPS.
Expect good fishing for cod particularly from June to September. Cod here are in the medium size range of 5 to 15 pounds with the chance of 20 and 30 pounders. Good halibut and excellent coalfish action. A good variety of species and scenic fjord and open sea fishing. Generally the waters here are quite sheltered.
