Sea fishing in Norway and Iceland
Sea fishing action for prolific stocks of big fish beyond your wildest dreams! Huge halibut, prolific cod fishing in the 20 - 50 pound category, coalfish 8 - 20 pounds common, but coalfish in excess of 40 pounds possible. Haddock, plaice, wolf fish and red fish to specimen sizes. Monster cod (commercial record 123 pounds) in Spring
We divide Norway into three regions.
- The Far North
North Norway has huge stocks of big fish, South Norway offers remarkable value, variety of species and is fun for serious and family anglers.
Mid Norway, The Trondheim area down to Bergen
Excellent fishing for big coalfish and good cod in the teens and twenties with the chance of bigger ones. Halibut and plaice are to be caught here too. One can take a flydrive trip here or saildrive with a long drive from Kristiansand. Cruise ferries also sail direct to Bergen and some resorts are fairly short drives from there.
- The South of Norway
We promote this region for its variety of fish, good scenery and it's a nice family fishing destination. You will catch smaller cod, coalfish, good pollack, flatties, and mackerel. Whilst some bigger cod are caught here, do not expect big fish. It's a nice place for a holiday with plenty of action, excellent shore fishing, reasonable boat fishing and good access from Kristiansand.
Iceland
Stunning scenery, prolific sea fishing for cod, haddock and wolf fish. Cod from 4 - 18 pounds are common with 20 and 30-pounders a possibility.
We offer sail-drive and flight based holidays with self-use boats or skipper fishing depending on destination.
