Adventures in Cascade Charters
Spring, summer and autumn for giant white sturgeon, January to April for big winter steelhead trout -what a river system! The Fraser River, just over one hour’s drive east of Vancouver City, is a huge river in a most scenic setting. Millions of Pacific Salmon run the river and its tributaries throughout the summer adding to the variety of species.
Marc Laynes of Cascade Charters operates the most professional guiding on this impressive river, with all tackle and transfers included.His team operate the best boats to the finest hotspots on the Fraser.
Sturgeon; Averaging 30-120 pounds but with a good number of fish to 400 pounds plus are landed each season, Marc’s own personal best tops out at over 800 pounds! All the right tackle and baits are supplied and guests are collected daily from a choice of hotels or Marc’s own guest-house that overlooks the river just outside the town of Chilliwack.
Winter steelhead trout are at their best from January to April (like the sturgeon, strictly catch and release), and can be fished with fly and lure. Again Marc and his guides know all the best places for these fine fish, usually smaller tributaries of the Fraser.
Our packages can be for any duration although we recommend at least a 7 night/6 day fishing trip.
